Lining up with a seven rider team of Thomas Benton, Sam Culverwell, Matthew Devins, Luke Lamperti, Ollie Rees, Blake Quick and Max Walker, it was a commendable performance from the team with all riders in the main chasing group before a crash with 20km to go.
Luke Lamperti continued his impressive season finishing in 37th position, while Sam had some bad luck, suffering a wrist injury in the pile-up towards the end of the race.
A great learning experience for our young riders, and now onto the Brussels Cycling Classic with a similarly strong field for what will be another day of tough racing.
