The Tour de le Mirabelle saw our road riders take on an opening day prologue and three stages over a lumpy parcours in France. After a strong block of training and racing in Belgium over the last few weeks, the team turned up fit and ready for the four day test.
Max Walker delivered the team’s standout performance, finishing 6th in the prologue and going on to secure 8th overall in the general classification (3rd U23). Alex Malacarne got his first taste of European road racing with the team, delivering a really strong prologue performance to finish in 13th.
With DS Ian Stannard in the team car – Finley Newmark, Sam Culverwell, Tosh Teare and Matthew Devins combined to deliver a strong overall team performance.
Onward now to big challenges in the Baby Giro and the Tour of Britain.
