Another big weekend of racing at the World Cup in Albstadt delivered one of the highlight performances of the season so far with a 3rd place finish for Haley Batten in a super competitive field, and a big statement from Haley ahead of US Olympic selection for Tokyo 2020 (or ’21… you know what we mean).
The weekend kicked off with solid performances from Haley and Christopher Blevins in the short track event, Haley finishing 11th and Chris 16th. After Haley’s heroics in the elite women’s event, Chris wrapped up the weekend with a really solid performance to finish in 13th position in a super competitive men’s field, two minutes down on Victor Koretzky and Nino Schurter.
The team now rolls into the Czech Republic for the next World Cup event at Nové Město on the weekend of May 15/16.
Check out all the action from Albstadt below on a memorable weekend for Haley and the whole team.
