Baby Giro Stage 10 – What a way to finish

Ben Healy wins stage 10 of the Baby Giro for Trinity Racing 2021

An already memorable Baby Giro was made even more special with a victory in the final stage for our own Ben Healy.

Ben has been on the attack throughout the 10 days of the race and finally got his reward with a stunning victory from the breakaway on the final day. There were no easy days in this years race and the we had more climbing on Stage 10, with 3 classified climbs which were sure to break up the peloton.

Ben got away in a 3-man group about halfway through the stage, and after nine hard days in the saddle had the strength to attack his breakaway companions to solo home to take the win.

Ben’s win was just one of the many highlights for the team over the last 10 days:

  • Tom Gloag came home with the GC leaders to maintain his 4th position on GC.
  • Ben Turner’s performance in the TT which put him the pink jersey.
  • Tom Gloag in the combined jersey for performance across the different point’s rankings.
  • A great introduction to European road racing for our US rider, Luke Lamperti.
