Stage 8 of the Baby Giro was yet another hilly affair (same as every other day, then).
While TRINITY’s leading rider on GC, Tom Gloag, stayed safe and kept his 4th position on GC, it was a day for Ben Healy to stretch his legs. Ben has always been an attacking and aggressive rider and he hasn’t let the difficulty of this Giro’s route deter him from that approach. He didn’t manage to hang on for a stage win as the GC leaders manage to get away from him at the end of the stage, but the fans will certainly remember his regular efforts to animate the race.
Stage 9 will be more of the same, hot weather and big climbs, the riders are going to remember this race! Check out the stage 9 profile below and some of the highlights from stage 8 at the bottom of this page.
