It was another busy day for the TRINITY Racing boys at the Baby Giro. As ever, the Irish National Champion’s jersey of Ben Healy spent a long time at the front of the race, keeping everyone honest and keeping the pace high for our GC man Tom Gloag.
Tom kept up his end of the bargain, attacking on the final climb of the stage in an attempt to climb into the podium spots. After 9 hard days in the saddle, he wasn’t quite able to make the attack stick and was reeled in by his fellow race leaders with 2km to go. A 6th place finish after almost 170km and 3100m of climbing was still a great result for Tom and he stays in 4th place going into the final stage of the race tomorrow.
The boys have been active in the TRINITY jersey throughout all of the racing so far and we couldn’t be more proud of their effort. One more day in the Italian sun, then a rest.
