We had six riders on the start line for our first stage race of the year, a wet and windy three days at the Tour d’Eure et Loir – Ben Healy, Tom Gloag, Ben Turner, Ollie Ress, Luke Lamperti and Finley Newmark.

It’s been a long wait to really get the road season under way but the boys turned up ready to go in France. A strong overall team performance delivered two really stand out results.

Luke Lamperti, fresh off his mountain bike, delivered the first win for the team taking the Stage 2 victory from a three man sprint that managed to just stay away from a hard-chasing peloton. A really impressive performance from the team’s US roadie.

To top the weekend off, Ben Turner was impressive throughout to finish 7th overall in the GC, only 13 seconds down on the winner. That result rounds up a great block of training and racing for the team ahead of the upcoming Tour de Mirabelle and the Baby Giro.

Stay tuned for an episode of ‘TRINITY on the Road’ for a full recap of the week’s racing.
