We will have another TRINITY Rider in Champion colours for 2022. This time it will be Christopher Blevins in the Rainbow bands of the XCC World Champ….. yeah, WORLD CHAMP.
The men’s race at the 2021 MTB World Championships in Val di Sole was a hotly contested affair with a large group of riders fighting for the lead. Christopher Blevins had a solid start, but had to fight his way toward the front around the midway point of the race. With a few laps to go, the USA athlete made a move toward the lead of the race and slotted into 3rd place where a fierce battle with Enrique Avencini ensued. On the final lap, the racing became physical and the elbows were out in anger.
Chris made a move to the front on the final corner and was able to sprint to victory aboard his S-Works Epic HT, becoming the first ever male XCC world champion.
“I knew that I could not give an inch in this race and there were no gifts out there today. It was a very fast race and very physical. I am super happy with the win and the first world title in the XCC format” – Christopher Blevins.
A massive congratulations to Chris from everyone at the team and here’s to 2022 and beyond.
